If you purchase your dress and alterations at David’s Bridal, pressing is included. If you’re planning to have your dress altered elsewhere, we will steam your garment’s outer layer before it leaves our store.
Does David’s Bridal take back dresses?
All returns and exchanges must be in their original condition—unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, clean, and free of lint and hair. Merchandise must be in its original packaging with all tags attached. Once any tag has been removed, an item cannot be returned.

cat89: yes you can buy off the rack at Davids bridal. They carry the dresses in one or two sizes in store pretty much pin or hold up the dress so brides can see how it fits. If you are really far off from their sample sizes, they may not have any on the rack that you can buy.

How much do dress alterations cost at David’s Bridal?
Don’t have all the details but I just brought mine to dB and it was about $150 for hemming a few layers, about $35 for shortening lace straps and another $20 to add in the cups. $205 total. I posted recently another seamstress wanted to charge me $600 not even including cups! My alterations cost $350.
