cat89: yes you can buy off the rack at Davids bridal. They carry the dresses in one or two sizes in store pretty much pin or hold up the dress so brides can see how it fits. If you are really far off from their sample sizes, they may not have any on the rack that you can buy.

Yes, it is super-tempting to venture into a bridal salon and start trying on dresses, especially if you know an engagement is in your future. However, we recommend holding off until after the proposal, and preferably, after you’ve set a date and venue.

Please allow 4 weeks between the first and final fittings. If you need your alterations before 4 weeks, please contact your local store. For bridesmaid dresses, social occasion dresses, and all other garments, we can provide alterations within 2 weeks; however, a rush fee may apply.
