Do dry cleaners steam wedding dresses?
It may take out some of the minor wrinkles, but any major creases will usually require the assistance of a garment steamer. Professional dry cleaners will steam or press wedding dresses, but brides can also purchase a handheld steamer for their own use at home.
Is it too late to get my wedding dress cleaned?

There’s no need to worry about having your dress cleaned before your wedding, as long as you plan for it well in advance and find a reputable cleaner. If your dress is already in perfect condition, then obviously there is no need to have it cleaned.

Please allow 4 weeks between the first and final fittings. If you need your alterations before 4 weeks, please contact your local store. For bridesmaid dresses, social occasion dresses, and all other garments, we can provide alterations within 2 weeks; however, a rush fee may apply.
Do you tip for wedding dress alterations?
Tipping seamstresses is not standard protocol. That said, anytime a talented seamstress goes above and beyond, offering a gratuity is a thoughtful gesture.
Can you buy off the rack at David’s Bridal?
cat89: yes you can buy off the rack at Davids bridal. They carry the dresses in one or two sizes in store pretty much pin or hold up the dress so brides can see how it fits. If you are really far off from their sample sizes, they may not have any on the rack that you can buy.
How do you keep the bottom of your wedding dress clean?
Spray the Hem Products like Scotchgard Fabric Protector can really go a long way in keeping the bottom of your dress clean while you’re galavanting around town. Our advice is to take your dress to a dry cleaner and ask them to spray the hem to protect the bottom of the dress. Let the pro’s handle it!
